The work has been accomplished within the “Vultures Return in Bulgaria”, LIFE08 NAT/BG/278 project.
- Results from marking of Sandwich Terns (Sterna sandvicensis) with colour rings and radio transmitters at Pomorie Lake. Authors: Dimitar Popov, Doncho Kirov, Pavlin Zhelev.
Data have been gathered and analyzed within ”Urgent Measures for Restoration and Conservation of Species and Habitats of European Significance within Pomorie Lake Complex of Protected Natural Areas” project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria through Operational Program “Environment” 2007-2013, Priority Axis 3 “Preservation and Restoration of Biodiversity” and “Environmental Management and Conservation in Mediterranean Saltworks and Coastal Lagoons” LIFE10 NAT/IT/256 MC-SALT project.
In total, 22 scientific works, divided into 5 thematic groups were presented at a plenary session; while the other 49 works were presented during the poster session.
The Conference became very popular with the scientific community of Bulgaria, the Balkans and Central Europe, which motivated the Department of Zoology, University of Plovdiv, to announce this conference a traditional event, held every two years.
