On the 4th and 5th of October we celebrated the International Bat Night in Burgas and Pomorie.

Our team together with the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation and the ‘Nepiast’ speleoclub organized the International Bat Night at the Sea Casino Culture Centre in Burgas where a lot of kids came with their parents to make masks with us and learn more about the intriguing life of bats. We finished the night at the Sea garden where we listened for bats with an ultrasound detector.

On the 5th of October the Green Balkans team visited the ‘Ivan Vazov’ secondary school where we celebrated the International Bat Night with the students from the 7th and 9th grades. We showed the kids a presentation with interesting facts about our flying neighbors, why they are important and how they help us, after which we had a small quiz with prizes for the winners.
