An information event about Pomorie Lake birds and a board game about the lake and its inhabitants - birds, insects, fish, mammals and plants were held in the "Pomorie Lake" Visitor Center on Saturday’s late afternoon.
A dozen participants (younger and older) were initially presented by the "Natura 2000 in Bulgaria - New Horizons" project team with detailed information about each of the species on the information board. Then they themselves had to find out the right place where the animals eat, find shelter, or the plants are observed.
All participants did it very quickly and excellently, so they received rewards - information materials about the inhabitants of Pomorie Lake, part of Natura 2000 ecological network.
Despite the prizes, the participants stayed for the second part of the event, when they learned interesting facts about bats. Thus, they are already prepared for the upcoming Bat Night information campaign, which we usually conduct in a dozen settlements throughout the country in September 15 - October 15 period.
We thank our volunteers Angel Dimitrov and Martin Georgiev, who helped organize the event.
